Northwest Healthcare Tucson’s Internal Medicine Residency Program is currently conducting virtual interviews only. Those applicants selected to interview will be contacted via email by our program coordinator who will provide a link to ThalamusGME wherein you can self-schedule your interview day. Interviews are conducted using Thalamus video on Tuesday afternoons (Arizona Time) from mid-October through December. Those applicants scheduled for interviews are offered the opportunity to speak candidly with current physicians (IM and TY) on the Monday evening prior to their interview date.
Should you need to reschedule your interview, please feel free to do so up to a week prior to your scheduled interview date.
To be respectful of everyone’s time, we cannot reschedule interviews that are less than a week away.
Application review and initial review invitations will be sent October 1.
All applicants will receive an interview status update on November 15.

Matched applicants will receive an offer letter via DocuSign to the email address listed in their ERAS application. Shortly thereafter, additional email will include important information regarding onboarding and mandatory orientation.
Your one-week orientation is scheduled the last week of June. Specific dates and details will be provided following Match Day. During orientation, you will receive the tools and training needed to successfully begin your first year of residency in our program.
Those incoming who are J-1 Visa holders are expected to be in town 30 days prior to the start of the training year (June 1) to apply for their Social Security card, arrange transportation and secure a driver’s license.
