Michelle Williams, M.D. – Program Director (Emergency Medicine)

Dr. Michelle Williams is the founding Program Director for the Northwest Healthcare Transitional Year Residency Program.

Jessica Brooks, C-TAGME – Program Coordinator

Jessica Brooks has been working in Graduate Medical Education (GME) for over 20 years within different specialties in Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona.

Elias Kakish, M.D. – Core Faculty (Critical Care Medicine)

Dr. Kakish had a passion to help people since he was a child – and loves the satisfaction that comes with diagnosing and treating the variety of lung and sleep disorders that detract from so many people’s quality of life.

Ashini Shah, MBBS – Core Faculty (Inpatient Medicine)

Dr. Ashini Shah is a geriatrician in Tucson, Arizona and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Northwest Medical Center – Tucson.

Hoang Thai, M.D. – Core Faculty (Cardiology)

Dr. Thai specializes in complex interventional cases such as patients with impaired heart function and those suffering from cardiogenic shock.

Jonny Neilson, M.D. – Core Faculty (Pediatrics)

Dr. Neilson is a graduate of the University of Arizona – Tucson Pediatric Residency program who fell in love with the desert beauty of Tucson.
