Dr. Abhilasha grew up in Ranchi, India and studied medicine at Tribhuvan University in Nepal. She practiced as a retinal surgeon before moving to the United States. She just had a baby with her husband who is a practicing neurohospitalist. Her specialty interests include hematology, medical oncology, and hospital medicine.
She is a trained singer and dancer who enjoys spending time with her newborn son.
