Dr. Usama Qamar is from Gujranwala, Pakistan, and is a graduate of Aga Khan University, Pakistan. He enjoys exploring different cuisines, traveling, listening to music, and watching movies with his family. During medical school, Dr. Qamar was actively involved in a student-run organization dedicated to arranging blood for patients in need, an experience that strengthened his commitment to service and community-centered care.
Dr. Qamar chose Crestwood Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Residency because of its supportive program culture and emphasis on teamwork and learning. He values holistic patient care, compassion, and responsible stewardship of healthcare resources. Having worked in a high-intensity, busy public sector hospital in Gujranwala with limited resources, he developed resilience and a strong sense of purpose in caring for underserved populations. Dr. Qamar looks forward to serving the Huntsville community with the same dedication and spirit of service.
