Over the course of my career, I have specialized in internal medicine — with a focus on patient care, research, and medical education.
I became a physician because I loved the combination of science, biology, and human interaction. Early on, I committed to doing for patients what matters to them. That means spending time with each one — and listening well — so they can talk freely about what’s bothering them. Patients aren’t checklists, and their healthcare shouldn’t be either. Doctors and patients have a unique relationship.
I love teaching the next generation of physicians and encouraging them to maintain the highest standards. Not only is my work an investment in the future, it’s fun.
In addition to my work with resident physicians at Northwest Healthcare, I’m also a researcher, lecturer, and member of several national working groups.
Outside of work, I enjoy cycling, swimming, and spending time with my family.
