Dr. Abu-Afifeh was born and raised in Amman, Jordan. She attended medical school at the University of Jordan. She chose Northwest Health Tucson’s Internal Medicine residency program to join a program that would provide a thriving educational environment where she felt ‘at home’ while progressing in training. It also helps that her family lives nearby! Along with this, the diversity, and the uniqueness each resident displayed showed how much cultural diversity is valued at Northwest Health Tucson.
Outside of training, Dr. Abu-Afifeh loves to cook and try new recipes and go on road trips with her family. Her favorite new hobby is Badminton.
