During my interview all of the faculty and residents were kind and really spoke highly of the program. I’m born and raised in Arizona and wanted to stay close to my family

Orthopedic surgery, anesthesia, rheumatology, radiation oncology

What are your professional interests within your specialty?
Sports medicine, interventional spine

What did you enjoy most about life in Tucson?
I enjoyed the sunshine and many outdoor activities Tucson had to offer. Mt. Lemon, Old Tucson, Kartchner caverns, and Sabino canyon were some of my favorites. I also enjoyed the great company of my co-residents and all the fun we had hanging out outside of work.

Favorite way to spend a day off?
With family and friends doing enjoying time together

Any advice for future interns?
Trust the process! Intern year can be extremely challenging and overwhelming at some points so as long as you can say you are giving it your all everyday, that’s all you can ask for. You will be surprised with how much you learn and how quickly you will grow this year. Your senior residents are everything so don’t be afraid to ask them for help!
