Why did you choose NW Transitional Year Residency?
I chose NWMC for my TY because it was in a completely new city for me to explore. It was also on the way to my advanced position geographically.
What were your favorite elective during your TY residency?
Radiation oncology was by far my favorite!
What are your professional interests within your specialty?
I want to complete a nuclear medicine track and I’m considering a fellowship in women’s imaging.
What did you enjoy most about life in Tucson?
The friends I’ve made and food options!
Favorite way to spend a day off?
If it’s a day off after a lowkey rotation, I like to get together with friends for dinner. If it’s a day off after nights/ICU/inpatient medicine, I order groceries delivered and sleep as much as possible.
Any advice for future interns?
It’s only a year- make the most of it!
