Why did you choose NW Transitional Year Residency?
I chose NW TY because of its location in beautiful southern Arizona, and was happily surprised to have met the best faculty, staff, and co-residents I could’ve asked for throughout my year here!
What were your favorite electives during your TY residency?
Interventional Pulmonology because Dr Mittal is a genius and can get you lots of time on the bronchoscope; Neurosurgery because Dr Dumont is an incredible teacher with cross-sectional imaging of the brain and spine (biased, as a future neuroradiologist) as well as time in the OR; Radiation Oncology, because Dr Ansinelli is also an imaging genius and genuinely teaches so much regarding cancer, image interpretation, and procedural confidence.
What are your professional interests within your specialty?
I aspire to be the best colleague, physician, and neuroradiologist I can possibly become
What did you enjoy most about life in Tucson?
The weather is incredible and the outdoors scene is amazing. The people here are really kind and vibed with them well and it’s small enough to feel like a well-knit community.
Favorite way to spend a day off?
If not having a chill day in, on a hike, in the gym, or on the ski slopes with those I love.
Any advice for future interns?
Try your hardest to be the best doctor you can possibly be, and be nice to everyone.
